Fighting Food Insecurity & Addiction
In The Appalachian Region

The tragedy of both food insecurity and addiction hit particularly hard in the Appalachian region of the United States. The Open Road Apostolic Ministry is a Catholic organization dedicated to combatting this epidemic of hunger and desperation, and preserving the inherent worth and dignity of all people in Appalachia. In our Catholic Faith, we are called to serve those in need, using the gifts bestowed upon us by the Holy Spirit. We call ourselves the Open Road Apostolic Ministry because we wish to provide a path forward for those who might not otherwise have one. We do this work with the aid of the Church, rescue missions, food pantries, homeless shelters, and our Lord Jesus Christ, our higher authority.
